Makela's quest for a kidney started in 2022 when she was suddenly diagnosed with end stage renal disease, also know as kidney failure. Eventually we discovered it was due to a rare genetic disorder. Makela now needs a new kidney to survive. She currently does dialysis, which is a long, uncomfortable process and ultimately not a good solution. Will you help Makela in her quest to find a kidney?
